Palisade Investment Partners will be the Sunshine Coast Airport’s commercial operating partner in a deal worth more than half a billion dollars. Under the deal, the airport will continue to be owned by Sunshine Coast Council, with Palisade operating the asset under a 99 year lease. Palisade will be responsible for operating, investing and developing the airport and will oversee future negotiations with airlines to expand both domestic and international routes available from the Sunshine Coast.

Sunshine Coast Airport leader recognised at Airport Industry Awards

At the Australian Airports Association (AAA) National Airport Industry Awards in Canberra last night, Mr Pallot received the award for Outstanding Contribution to the Airport Industry. The award recognised Mr Pallot’s contribution to the development of the industry and strengthening the Queensland division of the AAA.

Sunshine Coast Airport has been officially designated as Australia’s newest international airport. Federal Minister for Infrastructure and Transport Darren Chester announced the designation this morning, marking another significant achievement for the airport in what has been an outstanding year.
Sunshine Coast Airport’s domestic airline partners have added more than 65,000 extra seats to their Sunshine Coast services for the upcoming summer period. QantasLink to start Melbourne - Sunshine Coast flights
QantasLink will commence seasonal direct flights between Melbourne and the Sunshine Coast over the upcoming peak summer holiday period, following the success of the direct Sydney services launched last year.
QantasLink will operate four return flights per week between Melbourne and the Sunshine Coast from December 16, 2016 to January 21, 2017 on its two class Boeing 717 aircraft. Read more[115KB]
