| The Sunshine
Coast Airport terminal

area of 5,550mē and currently accommodates Jetstar and Virgin Blue airlines.
The terminal was upgraded in 1996/97 at a cost of some $9.2M. It
has the capacity for three B737 aircraft arriving or departing
simultaneously or approximately 850,000 passenger movements per annum.

The terminal has provision for
international charter operations (with allowances for customs, immigration
and quarantine facilities) which will allow for direct flights from New
Zealand to the Sunshine Coast.
The terminal building is open
from 7.00am until after the last flight of the day.

Banking
An automatic teller machine is situated opposite the security screening
point in the terminal building. Access to most major banking accounts is
provided.

Kiosk
The airport has a kiosk where you can purchase refreshments and
meals. The kiosk also sells newspapers, magazines and some gifts.
Lounge
The arrivals and departures lounge is located in the central part of the
terminal. Here you can watch television on the two large-screen TVs; or
just sit and relax in the comfortable lounges.
Tables and chairs are provided for enjoying
refreshments. There is also outdoor seating in the Piazza area and an
outdoor viewing area. From here you can watch the planes landing and
taking off and you can see the passengers leaving and entering the
terminal.

Post
An Australia Post mail box is located in the Piazza area in the front of
the terminal building.
Public amenities and parents room
Toilets are located near the check in counters and near the baggage
collection area.
The parent's room is equipped with a baby
change station, toilet facilities and a nappy disposal unit, as well as
seating for use while feeding.

Shops
The Gift Hangar specialises in local souvenirs, or be tempted by the
exquisite jewellery, imported directly from Italy at The Jewellery Lounge.
The Art Gallery displays a variety of paintings by local artists that can
be purchased, or just enjoy a quiet browse.

Telephones
A Telstra Smart Payphone is located near the baggage collection area. It accepts both phonecards and coins for your
convenience.
Tourist/visitor information centre
The Maroochy Tourism travel desk and visitor information stand is located
in the arrivals area near the luggage carousel and
provide brochures for accommodation and things to do during your stay
on the Sunshine Coast.
