Today marks exactly one year since our new runway 13/31 opened for business. 🛬 With the first sod turned in April of 2018, Runway 13/31 is 2450m long, 45m wide and included an apron expansion to accommodate up to eight jets and one Code E widebody parking position. ✈
The runway has welcomed flights from new domestic routes in Canberra, Cairns and Newcastle, and will soon see the return of international carrier Air New Zealand to the Airport for direct services to and from Auckland.
