A 10-week consultation period for the Sunshine Coast Airport Draft Master Plan 2040 has concluded today with the Airport thanking the community for their feedback and level of engagement.
The Draft Master Plan was released at the end of May and was followed by a 50-business day public consultation period with the community encouraged to participate and have their say.
As part of the process, 13 drop-in information sessions were held at various locations across the region from Caloundra in the South to Noosa in the North. Around 400 submissions were received, and a response will be provided to each.
Sunshine Coast Airport Chief Executive Officer Andrew Brodie said all submissions will be considered with the development of the final Draft Master Plan to be submitted to council on 1 September 2019. The Sunshine Coast Council has 40 business days to assess the plan and respond.
The Final Master Plan will be provided on our website, once approved.
