Sunshine Coast Airport is proud to announce its sponsorship of the Noosa Festival of Surfing event, strengthening its commitment to supporting local events and enhancing the vibrant coastal culture of the region.

Recognised globally as one of the most prestigious events on the surfing calendar, the festival attracts elite surfers, families, visitors and spectators from across Australia and around the world.

Sunshine Coast Airport’s CEO, Chris Mills said sponsoring the event is a great way to give back to the local community.

“We’re really excited to be partnering with an event that embodies the energy and spirit of our region.

“Sunshine Coast Airport is the gateway for travellers chasing the perfect break and the Noosa Festival of Surfing is just the spot to experience it.”

Noosa Festival of Surfing Director, Josh Allen said partnering with Sunshine Coast Airport is the perfect fit for athletes and fans travelling from across the world.

“We couldn’t ask for a better partner. The airport understands the excitement this festival brings and together we’re making sure the momentum starts from the moment passengers arrive.

“The event is known worldwide for its festival style atmosphere and is expected to attract thousands of spectators from across Australia and beyond.”

The ten-day festival is more than just a world-class surfing competition – Noosa Shire transforms into a vibrant celebration of surf culture, live music, art and fashion.

“The festival is a must-do event on the calendar and is reaching a significant 35-year milestone next year – it will be the surfing celebration of the year, and everyone is welcome.” Mr Allen said.

Registrations are open for the ten-day festival event which will be held 13 – 22nd March 2026.
