NEW GENERAL MANAGER OF AVIATION AND COMMERCIAL ANNOUNCED FOR SUNSHINE COAST AIRPORT

Sunshine Coast Airport today announces the appointment of Scott Norris as its new General Manager Aviation and Commercial.

Mr Norris is an experienced executive in the aviation sector with more than fifteen years leading aeronautical and non-aeronautical commercial functions in executive leadership positions within dynamic, fast-growing tier one airports including Auckland and Perth Airports. Most recently Mr Norris was the Vice President Commercial Development and Vice President Strategic Customer Relationships at Vancouver Airport.

Sunshine Coast Airport CEO Andrew Brodie welcomed the new appointment saying Scott stood out amongst a field of high calibre leaders.

“The interest from highly experienced candidates demonstrates Sunshine Coast Airport’s recognition as a leader in the sector that is driving growth and opportunity for the wider region,” Mr Brodie said.

“Our terminal and broader expansion plans, new international runway, record-breaking numbers in passengers and the opportunity to increase connectivity both domestically and internationally, was certainly an attractor for candidates.

“Scott joins us at the right time as he is a holistic business leader, who has delivered positive change, improved passenger and airline experiences and commercial outcomes.

“His experience also extends to growing aeronautical and non-aeronautical revenue portfolios with a focus on airline route development, digital marketing, cargo and logistics, real estate, advertising, retail, food and beverage and ground transport product development.

“Scott’s passion for the customer and airport experience, his track record of building high performing teams and his experience in leading sustainable business practices that positively impact the community and airport, will make him a perfect fit for our business.”

Mr Norris is excited by the opportunity of not only working with Sunshine Coast Airport but being part of the broader Agilis Airports Group.

“I am really looking forward to working with the team in contributing to an exciting future and exploring one of the most beautiful locations in the world with my family,” Mr Norris said.

Scott will also have oversight of Aviation and Commercial at Coffs Harbour Airport as part of the Agilis Airports Group and will join the team on 24 October 2022.
