Explore our accessible airport with ease

Our goal is to provide facilities that are accessible to all members of the community, including passengers and visitors with special needs or disabilities. We work closely with our airline partners to ensure everyone’s accessibility needs are met and continually upgrade our services to better reflect our customers.

Digital Wayfinding
Digital Wayfinding

To help passengers of all abilities navigate the Sunshine Coast Airport terminal, we have partnered with digital accessible wayfinding solution BindiMaps.

The BindiMaps technology was designed with input from hundreds of blind and vision impaired users to ensure the highest possible levels of accessibility and inclusivity.

Accessible parking for people with limited mobility is available in all Sunshine Coast Airport car parks. Parking spaces have been located to ensure easy no step access to pathways leading to the terminal building. Alternatively, there are dedicated passenger pick up/drop off spaces at the front of the terminal.

Toilets for passengers with limited mobility are provided throughout the terminal building.
These are located:
✔ In the check-in area, near the Jetstar check-in desks
✔ Within the departures lounge near the NewsTravels store

Hearing Loop
Hearing Loop

To assist hearing impaired customers, a hearing loop has been installed. This is designed to allow persons fitted with a hearing aid to be able to clearly hear any announcements made through the terminal PA system.

For best results the hearing loop has been installed in the departures lounge near the Rip Curl store.
