Explore our accessible airport with ease

Our goal is to provide facilities that are accessible to all members of the community, including passengers and visitors with special needs or disabilities. We work closely with our airline partners to ensure everyone’s accessibility needs are met and continually upgrade our services to better reflect our customers.

Accessible Parking
Accessible Parking

Accessible parking for people with limited mobility is available in all Sunshine Coast Airport car parks. Parking spaces have been located to ensure easy no step access to pathways leading to the terminal building. Alternatively, there are dedicated passenger pick up/drop off spaces at the front of the terminal.

Sunflower Lanyard
Sunflower Lanyard

We proudly support the Sunflower Lanyard scheme, creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for people with hidden disabilities.

Our team is here to offer understanding, patience, and assistance to anyone wearing the lanyard.

Hearing Loop
Hearing Loop

To assist hearing impaired customers, a hearing loop has been installed. This is designed to allow persons fitted with a hearing aid to be able to clearly hear any announcements made through the terminal PA system.

For best results the hearing loop has been installed in the departures lounge near the Rip Curl store.

Wheelchair Assistance
Wheelchair Assistance

If you have pre-booked your flight with wheelchair assistance or require assistance during your flight, please notify the airline staff when checking in.

Airline staff at check-in can provide passengers with wheelchairs, a lift into the aircraft, arrange early boarding, or provide general assistance whilst on-board the aircraft.
