Chris Mills
Chief Executive Officer
Chris Mills is the CEO of Sunshine Coast Airport. He leads the team to deliver key strategies including passenger volume growth, development projects, customer experience enhancement and sustainable outcomes.
Chris has over 35 years’ experience in varied industries including aviation, tourism, events, retail, finance and property planning and development. He has worked in Australia and England across the private and public sectors. As CEO of Queensland Airports Limited until 2022 he expanded connectivity and delivered key projects including the Gold Coast airport terminal expansion and airport hotel.
Chris is currently a Board Member of Australian Airports Association and Events Management Queensland. His previous board or executive roles included Tourism and Events Queensland, Dreamworld theme park, South Bank Corporation, d’Albora marinas, Tourism and Transport Forum Australia and Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary.
Kylie Ezzy
General Manager People and Communications
Kylie has more than 20 years’ experience across a range of disciplines including advocacy, marketing and communications, stakeholder engagement, media relations, market research, events management, human resource management and customer service. Kylie has held senior executive positions in both Local and State Government leading diverse teams that have delivered outcomes which engage and influence, underpinned by her understanding of local community, stakeholders and the strategic business context.
Robin Mace
General Manager Projects and Planning
In July 2025, Robin joined the team at Sunshine Coast Airport as General Manager Projects and Planning, to lead the delivery of the Airport expansion and Precinct Development.
He has over 35 years’ experience delivering various large-scale complex Civil, Infrastructure, Rail and mixed-use Building Projects for both the public and private sectors.
Robin was involved in an Executive management role for 18 years at Turner International in the Middle East, before relocating to Australia in April 2022 to work on the new $25 billion Sydney Metro West Project.
Robin has a proven track record of building and leading successful Teams, with integrity, respect and collaboration, and has developed the requisite Project management skills that have allowed him to successfully deliver numerous complex projects from procurement through to commissioning, handover and operation, in both a brownfield and greenfield environment.
Kate McCreery-Carr
General Manager Operations
In July 2021, Kate was appointed as General Manager Operations of Sunshine Coast Airport. Kate is responsible for the safe and secure operation of all airside, landside and terminal operations, including maintenance and significant capital programs, as well as providing leadership and management to the airport’s operations business in accordance with legislative requirements and corporate objectives. Prior to this, Kate was Chief Operating Officer at Cairns Airport, where she worked for 30 years in total, 15 of those with Cairns Airport Pty. Ltd and before joining Cairns Airport Pty. Ltd., she worked with Air Niugini and Australian Airlines, based at Cairns Airport. Kate is a graduate of the Airport Management Professional Accreditation program, an executive development programme for airport managers worldwide that promotes the adherence to the highest professional standards, covering all functional areas of the airport business. Graduates earn the International Airport Professional (IAP) Designation. Kate has previously held positions with the CQU Regional Engagement Committee and the Cairns Amateurs Committee.
Kim Barton
General Counsel and Company Secretary
Kim is responsible for the legal and company secretarial functions of Sunshine Coast Airport. Kim has more than twenty years’ experience as a practising lawyer and was most recently General Counsel at Hong Kong’s Airport Authority which manages Hong Kong International Airport. She has more than seven years of experience working in the aviation sector and provided legal support for multiple functions of HKIA including expansion projects such as HKIA’s Three Runway System Project and initiatives in the Greater Bay Area in the PRC. Prior to joining the aviation sector, she worked in premier law firms in Hong Kong and Australia.
Hendrik van Calcar
Chief Financial Officer
Hendrik joined Sunshine Coast Airport (SCA) in September 2024 with more than 25 years’ experience in varied industries including aviation, financial services, and telecommunications. Hendrik has worked across several senior finance roles in the telecommunications industry in Europe, and for the Qantas Group in Australia. Most recently, Hendrik worked for NAB having financial responsibility for the banks’ Enterprise Operations, Property and Financial Crime divisions. Hendrik is responsible for directing and overseeing the financial and technology/data activities of SCA and associated entities.
