Media representatives are welcome to access public areas of Sunshine Coast Airport and we request the following guidelines are adhered to:

  1. Please ensure you provide as much notice as possible of media crews visiting the airport for any reason.
  2. Filming of any security screening or immigration staff / equipment is not permitted.
  3. Please do not attempt to access or film in sterile or restricted areas unless escorted by a member of the SCA team.
  4. It is illegal to fly drones within 5.5km of an airfield – more information about drones near the airport can be found here.

Filming and Photography

We work collaboratively with organisations and persons wishing to use the airport for filming and photography activities. As safety and operational efficiency is our top priority, there may be times when we have to decline the use of the airport for filming or photography purposes.
