Containers for Change
Sunshine Coast Airport has partnered with Containers for Change, implementing the container refund scheme throughout the Airport terminal.
Making a difference
Passengers can now dispose of bottles and containers in specially marked bins strategically positioned throughout check-in, departures and arrivals.
The new initiative will help increase container recycling and reduce litter across the Airport precinct while raising vital funds for local charities and community groups, as one bottle or can = 10c.
Together, we can help support community groups and make our airport and region a cleaner and greener place.
Who receives the funds?
All money raised will be provided to local charities and community groups. The first donation from Sunshine Coast Airport will go to Coolum and North Shore Coast Care.

Every six months, Sunshine Coast Airport will select a new charity or community group to support with the Containers for Change donations.
